Choosing a color scheme for a website is a decision that should not be taken lightly. If you are developing a website for an already established business, chances are they already have primary colors for their identity. However, there are a variety of shades that can be used for accents, shadows, highlights and more.

Sometimes, choosing a color scheme can be a not so easy task. Well, if you are having one of those days I am here to brighten your mood!

Color Schemer Studio is a professional color matching software. Great piece of software but I’m not going to tell you to go buy it.

There’s a great area on the Color Schemer site that I believe most people probably miss out on. The Color Scheme Gallery. The color scheme gallery works a lot like a social bookmarking site. It allows users to upload schemes and tag them with certain words. The link above takes you to the page with the main listing of tags.

Now, be warned. Just because a color scheme is on the site does not make it a good color scheme. You still need to use your designers eye to pick out what is going to work right with your project. However, for inspiration and refreshing looks at colors you may have forgotten about it’s a great resource.
