Tagbulb a Tag Search Engine
December 8th, 2006

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Tagbulb is a search engine based on searching tags from various sources like Flickr, YouTube, Magnolia and others with a pretty decent interface.

It’s a YUI-based implementation, but I do not like that from the main search it takes you directly to the image search and then you have to choose from the other content types - videos, blogs, bookmarks, podcasts, etc.

I’m not sure if it’s getting overloaded with traffic right now or not but everything was very slow. When I did a search on the bookmarks type I came here to post this, clicked back, and it was still loading.

Seems like a good idea to bring a lot of the popular 2.0 sites together in one place but was it rushed? The answer I don’t know, but it seems like it could have been a bit more polished. Cool logo though!
