Shape Shed has a great outline for creating usable forms. Forms often are overlooked at from the design perspective which can at times frustrate the users. What’s sad is that while forms do get overlooked, they tend to be some of the main goals of a site. Order forms, contact forms, comment forms. All are included as a main goal for users to reach.

Has my information been received? Did it work? Should I sit here and wait for something else?

Those are all questions that some of your users may be experiencing if you don’t pay enough attention to creating usable forms. With some CSS and just a little effort, your forms can be transformed into a usable masterpiece!

This tutorial fits right in to my belief about designing user-first websites. What does your user want and how do they want to use it?

Let me know what you think about the tutorial. Anything you would add?
