Online Feed Readers - What’s with them?

So this evening I wanted to look into using an online feed reader as I was getting tired of having to update my bookmarks on one computer or another everytime I subscribed to new feeds.

In the past I’ve used Bloglines but it just didn’t feel right. I’ve also given Rojo a run for it’s money but it’s just too dang slow.

So I figured, “Hey let’s give ‘em another shot”. No luck.

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I can’t find anything to be the Sage reader extension for Firefox. It’s quick and lite. It has a feed finder button that works on *most* sites. It’s got a great method to check the status of feeds and for me to mark which ones are read or not read.

I just can’t understand why anyone would want to use anything else. Somebody help me out and explain to me why online readers are better for you.
