Back at the end of November, I wrote a short article about how to get a standalone version of IE6 up and running along side IE7. Well, right after the New Year, Gustav let me know that cookies would not register. So if you needed cookies to test your site, that standalone version wouldn’t work.
Luckily, I’ve come across another method to use IE6 together with IE7 on the same machine that allows you to get both conditional comments and cookies to work.
Thanks to Tredosoft for making this possible. The installer will also let you install IE3 IE4.01 IE5 IE5.5 and IE6.
Keep your eye out for my next post about a standalone version of IE7.
