Some site changes…
March 20th, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

UPDATE: Okay! Everything should be golden. Let me know if you see anything screwy still. :) This is more of a revision or addition than an actual redesign. I’d love to hear your comments though!

Something’s funky on IE 6 & 7. Gotta run right now though… sorry if you’re seeing it screwy. You should probably use Firefox or Flock (see post below) anyway. ;)

Just a quick note in case you visit and the blog looks screwy.  I’m working on adding a 3rd column and widening the design.  The whole process will take a little time as I have projects going on, but the visuals will be back in line ASAP.

I Flock therefore I Blog
March 20th, 2008

As some may have noticed, there was a period of time where I didn’t blog much.  The task of going in and publishing a post was simply non-efficient for me.  Then I began using Flock.

Quick commercial break… For those who don’t know, Flock is a social browser built on Mozilla and essentially operates like Firefox but implements social features.  One of which the purpose of this post.

Back to our regular scheduled programming…

Flock integrates great with my blog allowing me to simply click on an icon in the toolbar and type this new post.  Easy and efficient, which let’s me include it a bit better within my schedule.

Any other Flockers out there?  If so, what do you like best?

Blueprint CSS Framework
March 19th, 2008

I am not usually one who would work within a CSS framework, but I’ve got to hand it to the group of guys that put together Blueprint.  This is a CSS framework geared towards cutting your CSS development time.  With Blueprint you get a solid CSS foundation to build your project on with an easy-to-use grid, typography and even a stylesheet for printing.

With no lack of web-celeb on the project (Jeff Croft, Nathan Borror, Christian Metts, Eric Meyer), Blueprint CSS Framework looks like a great addition.

Features:

  • An easily customizable grid
  • Sensible typography
  • Relative font-sizes everywhere
  • A typographic baseline
  • An extendable plugin system
  • Perfected CSS reset
  • A stylesheet for printing
  • Powerful scripts for customizing your layout
  • No bloat of any kind
